The Wonderful Lumix 14-45mm
Friday, January 13th, 2012
The excellent thing on the Lumix 14-45mm is its optical performance. This lens compared to other professional lenses is very sharp both on the centre and on the borders. The sharpness is excellent at any focal length and aperture. In terms of controlling its operations, this lens also performs very well compared to its peers. The amazing optical defect control is chromatic aberration. This is because it is very low at any aperture and can safely be ignored. Vignetting and distortion control are also fairly good.
The zoom and the focus rings on the Lumix 14-45mm are very smooth. These rings also are very responsive on this lens. Another great thing on this lens is that there is it has no zoom creep. You will also love this lens for its image stabilization because it is excellent. In Panasonic, image stabilization is installed on the lens while in Olympus it is installed on the sensors. In terms of compatibility, this lens works perfectly with Micro Four Thirds camera.
Camera Tripod Heads
Wednesday, January 11th, 2012
Although almost all tripods already comes with a tripod head, you might want to consider purchasing something that would better suit your shooting style. There are two most common types of tripod heads, these are pan-tilt and ball heads: Pan tilt-heads are great because you can independently control each of the camera’s two axes of rotation, either the yaw or the pitch. This can be very useful once you’ve already gone to great care in leveling the tripod, but need to shift the composition slightly. On the other hand, Ball heads are also great because you can quickly point the camera freely in nearly any direction before locking it into position. They are typically also a little more compact than equivalent pan-tilt heads. However, the advantage of free motion can also be a disadvantage, since it may cause your composition to no longer be level when you unlock the camera’s position.

A Beautiful Gift to the Newlyweds
Sunday, December 4th, 2011It is not every day that your only daughter gets married now is it? Debbie was getting married to this lovely boy from down by Liverpool and we were having the ceremony here at the family church. It really was a lovely wedding, one of those times where everything manages to go just right and everything work out with no problems. She looked simply radiant and our professional photographer we hired got some lovely pictures of them together. When we got the pictures after the wedding I got to thinking about having some canvas prints made of them. One for us, one for the my daughter and her husband and one for his parents. I was worried that some of the quality of the photograph would be lost when it was blown up and transferred to canvas but it came out looking just a vibrant and gorgeous as the photograph had been and everyone just loved it.
Three Easy Tips That Improve Your Snapshots
Saturday, December 3rd, 2011Get the Photos You Want: Three Easy Tips that Improve your Snapshots
You’re out with your friends at a restaurant, baseball game or gathering and decide the event shouldn’t
go undocumented. You whip out your point-and-shoot or mobile phone and snap a picture. Maybe later
that day you post it on Facebook for all to see.
Would you rather tag your friends in an okay photo or a great photo?
I’m going to share three simple tips that will improve your photos. These techniques are free, work with
any camera and you can start using them today.
One of the best things you can do to improve your photos is Get Closer.
Tip 1: Get Closer
Some folks waste space in a photo by taking their picture too far from the people.
Imagine you arrive early at the cinema and you’ve got your pick of any seat in the theatre. Would you
choose to sit as far away as possible? Or do you pick a seat where the screen fills up most of your vision?
When you don’t get closer for your pictures, it’s like sitting in the very back of the theatre where you
get distracted by all the people in front of you, and the screen looks half the size it would if you had a
decent seat.
Get Closer or zoom in on the people in your pictures–make sure the photo emphasizes the most
important part: the people.
Tip 2: Watch the Background
It’s easy to concentrate on the people in your snapshot and forget about the background of the photo.
But you don’t want it to look like things are coming out of people’s heads or have unimportant objects
distracting the viewer.
Watch the Background: if you spot a distracting element you can often avoid its appearance in the
photo by simply moving to the left or right until the guilty elements in the background are no longer
visible.
If you Get Closer you can often remove unwanted elements from the photo as well.
In the example below it looks like the person being photographed has horns coming out of his head. In
the photo to the right, this was corrected by moving until the distracting element was no longer visible
in the viewfinder.
Tip 3: Use Natural Light
The flash certainly has its place and sometimes you need to use it, but people rely on the flash too
much. Many point and shoot cameras have a wimpy flash that only illumines part of the photo. Point-
and-shoot camera flashes often create harsh shadows and unnatural contrast between the people lit up
by the flash and the dark areas the flash couldn’t reach.
Use Natural Light: take your photo outside on a partly cloudy day, or around dawn or dusk, to take
advantage of the soft, natural light. You can also take pictures indoors near windows-draw back the
curtains if the people won’t be in direct sunlight.
Avoid taking pictures in full sun, which produces harsh shadows and causes people to squint.
When it’s available, natural light is a great alternative to the flash.
The same principles apply if you’re using a camera phone or a $3,000 DSLR. By following these three simple tips, the quality of your photos will go up dramatically.

Thursday, September 22nd, 2011When creating a wedding budget, you need to make sure you carefully track each and every expenditure. You must carefully plan exactly how much you are able to spend for each wedding item. You must pay for invitations, your wedding dress and the tuxes. You must also save money for the flowers, the wedding reception location and the wedding reception entertainment. A wedding videographer and photographer would also be key items on your list. When examining prices for your wedding videographer and photographer there are a few necessities to keep in mind. Ask the videographer exactly how many hours their package price includes. Also as them how much they would charge should additional time be necessary. How many copies of the video are included in the package is another good question. Setting Up a Marquee at Beach Wedding Locations
Tuesday, July 26th, 2011Imagine the scenario: you’re walking down the makeshift aisle at one of your favourite beach wedding locations, you walk up to the altar and the ceremony begins. Once you are man and wife, you entire wedding party rejoices with champagne and party favours on the beach when it starts to rain. Your guests leave frustrated and wet, and your hair and makeup are ruined. Now let’s change that picture with a marquee set up right on the beach. You can go from altar to reception in comfort and dryness and not have to worry about the state of your clothes or hair, or those of your guests. The wedding can still take place on the beach, but in the dry comfort of a marquee and your guests will remember forever the beauty of your wedding, instead of the day their favourite dress or suit was ruined, or the day you went from being a blushing bride to a sodden wet mess.

If you want to know more about them, you can just drop by their website. I am sure that you will love their galleries. They really do take some very good photos of children. If you have kids, I really recommend that you drop by their site and you will probably take on their services after you have seen the results that they provide for their satisfied clients.
Tokina 16-28mm Lens Review. Why It’s the Best
Tuesday, June 14th, 2011This Tokina 16-28mm review outlines why the first offering from Tokina in the ultra wide angle lens market is the best choice for you to buy. With exemplary chromatic aberration control, focusing, distortion control and no visible vignetting on any of the tests at any focal length, this lens certain has an impressive array of technical statistics. Being slightly on the heavy side, as far as lenses go, it wouldn’t be the best choice as a walk around lens, but anybody involved in landscape, environmental portrait or low light indoor shooting would definitely benefit from buying this lens. With a sturdy and high quality build quality from this Japan made lens, plus its excellent value for money, it is a very worthwhile purchase. This lens also has a great compatibility factor, available for both Nikon and Cannon cameras as well as being usable with full frame or cropped sensor cameras.
Dental Photos Are Cool
Wednesday, April 20th, 2011When we get close to fitting all the teeth accurately to the new and correct position or posture, then we start to get a correction in the joint itself. We call this healing process retreat. This shift can be stressful and confusing to the patient and two and in experience operating dentists. The patient doesn’t know at all that it is happening and it means more work for the dentist who is installing the Chula vista dental implants, which is why I recommend at least three hours for the completion of this procedure. I used to think I could do an easy case in two hours or fewer, but I soon learned to allow at least three hours so I didn’t have to sin the patient home with a transitional bite, a bite on the way to be perfect but that actually feels worse than original bite. It is very important to use a qualified dentist that knows how to correctly fix the bite and give you the best results possible in the shortest amount of time.
Van Gough: a Man Who Created Some of the Best Pieces of Art Work
Wednesday, April 6th, 2011Vincent Van Gough has always been on of my favorite artists, and his work featured prominently in my art on canvas collection. The man created so many self portraits that most people don’t even realize he did. The brush strokes he uses in his art work is what makes it unique to me. It is as if each little splotch of paint would have been nothing before he had put it all together to make what seems to me a beautiful piece of art work. The thing about Vincent Van Gough though that makes me see him as crazy comes back to my middle school art days. I remember writing a paper on his all to famous Stary Night painting. It had so many beautiful colors combined in such a way that almost seemed surreal. I remember though I had to write a paper about him and the things he had done in his life. The one thing that will forever stick out in my mind had to do with the fact that he cut his ear off to give to a women who he loved very much. It seemed to me though that he didn’t really understand that this wasn’t what would turn a woman on. The fact that he had done it though really showed how committed he was to her just like he was to his art work through out the years.
Get Updated Prices for Canon Lenses for Sale
Tuesday, February 22nd, 2011Whenever I need to purchase anything now, I do a quick look up on the internet. There are search engines that have a shopping option and that is what I use, especially when I am looking for Canon lenses for sale. By using the internet search, I can find what the current retail prices are in addition to what the prices are for used equipment. I don’t necessarily buy them on the internet, because I really like to be able to pick them up and visually look at what I am buying, but I do like being aware of what the prices are. By knowing the current pricing on both the new and used Canon Lenses For Sale, I can go to my favorite camera store and know what the fair price is. I will not spend too much on something overpriced. By doing this research ahead of time, I feel I am getting the best price that I possibly can.
